Club Golf’s Best Performances this Weekend

This past weekend of play in the NCCGA brought some of the best golf we have seen all season, with the Florida, Colonial and North Carolina regions all playing their first tournament of the semester.

This week's NCCGA Team of the Week honors go to Virginia Tech Club Golf.

Va. Tech held off James Madison and Virginia in the first Regional Tournament and earned six points toward Nationals qualifying. The win was even more important for Va. Tech, as the Colonial Region is historically one of the most competitive in the NCCGA.

Virginia Tech won the first Colonial Regional Tournament over the weekend.

Congrats to the Hokies!

The NCCGA Player of the Week this time goes to Turner Meek from Florida State.

Meek turned in a low-round 73 on Sunday to steal the medalist honors by one stroke in the first-ever Florida Region tournament.

What the Claw lacked in yardage, it made up for in hazards and trouble all over the course.

Congrats to Turner and the Florida State Team (@fsuclubgolf) on a successful first tournament.
