About the Championship

2016 Scramble City Tour Champions - Pitt6 (Pittsburgh)

2016 will mark the 2nd year of the official Nextgengolf City Tour Championship. With only a best-ball format in 2015, 16 teams from 13 cities competed looking for a chance to crown themselves the #CityGolf Champion. Slice and Dice from Cincinnati crowned themselves the 1st ever City Tour Championship!

In 2016, we will crown winners in both the best ball format as well as the scramble format. Prizes will be awarded for the top teams, pairs, and individual performances at the Championship.

The idea for a National Championship was formed in 2014 when an age old rivalry between Boston and New York was held in a Ryder Cup format on September 21, 2014. New York edged out Boston 16 1/2 to 15 1/2 to win the 2014 Championship.

Nextgengolf has reserved discounted room blocks at two different properties for team lodging.

City lodging on the Atlantic City strip at the Claridge Hotel - $185 per night ($262 retail) all taxes and resort fees included.
On-site lodging at Seaview Stockton Lodge - $235 per night ($350 retail) all taxes and resort fees included.

Daily Schedule

Thursday Sept 15 & Friday Sept 16

Most teams will arrive on Thursday the 15th or Friday the 16th. You can play practice rounds on both days, but the formal tournament will kickoff on Friday the 16th at 4pm. If you choose to fly or need an easier way to ship you clubs, don't forget to ship your clubs with Ship Sticks and save as a Nextgengolf member

Friday Schedule:

7am - 5pm: Team practice rounds. To schedule practice rounds, please call the pro-shop directly (609-652-1800). Let them know you are with the Nextgengolf group to get the discounted rate.

4pm-7pm: The Pre-Championship Registration Party will take place on the Seaview Golf Club range. Our sponsors will be handing out prizes for the putting, wedge, and accuracy skills challenges. In addition, 18Birdies will have special sponsored prizes for other fun games next to the Happy Hour station! We will have a live raffle at 6pm with $2,500 worth of items, gift bag pick up for all participants, dinner, and team pictures. The Pre-Championship Registration Party is always one of the best parts of the weekend!
