The NCCGA Central Region is looking to grow in strength yet again this semester. This spring the Central will be adding the University of Iowa and Washington University in St. Louis as well as individuals from multiple schools around the region. The Central is looking to make the next step in becoming one of the strongest and biggest regions in the NCCGA.
Our first regional will be held on March 1st and 2nd at Payne Stewart Golf Club in Branson, Missouri. Payne Stewart Golf Club was named the top public course in the state of Missouri by Golfweek the past two years.
The University of Missouri is looking to win its third straight regional and defend their NCCGA Central title this semester. Iowa State could play a factor in those dreams as they have always been close behind Mizzou on the scoreboards and return a solid group of players. Our first regional is looking to be a cold one but I’m sure everyone is eager to get back on the course no matter what the temperature.
Our second regional will be held on April 5th and 6th at Eagle Knoll Golf Club in Hartsburg, Missouri. Eagle Knoll is also considered one of the top golf courses in Missouri. It is a classic Ozark style golf course with many elevation changes. This regional could result in much different scores later in the year with all of the teams warming up and hopefully no winter temperatures.
No matter who wins the Central Region they are sure to be a factor in New Jersey for the NCCGA Spring National Tournament.
