2018 will mark the 4th year of Nextgengolf City Tour Championship. In 2017, 124 players competed looking for a chance to crown themselves the national champions. In 2017, the Pitt6 took home the scramble title and Tarcy's Team took home the best ball title.

The National Championship was formed in 2014 when an age-old rivalry between Boston and New York was held in a Ryder Cup format on September 21, 2014. New York edged out Boston 16 1/2 to 15 1/2 to win the 2014 Championship. After the 2014 season, Nextgengolf expanded Nationwide and ran the 2015 City Tour Championship at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Chicago, the 2016 Championship at Seaview Golf Club in Atlantic City and the 2017 Championship at True Blue & Caledonia in Myrtle Beach.

Golf Course Information

TPC Louisiana

TPC Louisiana, located in the heart of New Orleans, is a staple of golf in the Gulf Region. Designed by Pete Dye, this championship layout is both visually impressive and challenging. TPC Louisiana plays host to the Zurich Classic, a well-known stop for the PGA Tour and is consistently ranked in GolfWeek's "Best Courses You Can Play".

TPC sets up perfectly for both scramble and best ball teams at the City Tour Championship. With over 100 bunkers and 4 ponds on premise, there is room to make mistakes but can be extremely rewarding if you can avoid these hazards.

Bayou Oaks

Originally opened in 1902, the City Park Golf Complex quickly developed into a four course facility. Tragically, in 2005, Hurricane Katrina left City Park completely destroyed and in need of complete restoration. Fast forward to 2017, two of the four courses have been fully restored: the South and North Courses.

The most recently restored South Course re-opened in 2017 and will play host to 1 day of the City Tour Championship. The course layout is impressive, which is to be expected as it was designed by famed course architect Rees Jones. This brand new facility will certainly make for another great City Tour Championship.
