Since your adult customers can't play for the PGA junior leagues, high school or college team anymore, representing your club is the next best thing. Whether you're a private club with members or a public course with daily fee groups, the Nextgengolf team at the PGA of America is here to help your club set-up a golf team at your course.
We love playing City Tour tournaments representing our company. It's great to socialize with co-workers and also meet other golfers in the Bay Area.
Sponsor a team at your course
There are many benefits to starting a golf team at your course including:
- Revenue Opportunity - PGA Professionals have flexibility charge golfers for practices, lessons, clinics, sell merchandise or a membership fee to join their course team. There are no upfront costs for a golf professional to start a City Tour golf team. Golfers only pay Nextgengolf for each event which they participate.
- Member Engagement - Having a golf team at the course makes it easy for a PGA Professional to engage with their members, give them a reason to come out to the course to practice, and provides an opportunity for members to network at Nextgengolf tournaments. PGA Professionals do not need to attend City Tour tournaments.
- Mentor and Coach - Amateur golfers are used to playing alone versus on a team. Having a PGA Professional as a team coach will help you develop a deeper relationship with the members at your course creating more loyalty, spend, and golfer happiness.

About City Tour
Each team has 2–3 pairs. We'll help fill out your team if you don't have enough people, or match you to a team if you're signing up as an individual (free agent).
Decide how competitive you're feeling. The formats offered are Best Ball (more serious) and Scramble (more relaxed).
Best Ball or Scramble
Final scores are tallied using scores from the two best pairs on your team. If your team does well enough, you'll qualify for the City Championship! The City Tour does not require or use handicaps in our events.
Pair 1 (-2) + Pair 3 (-4)
Total Team Score (-6)
Players can sign up as a team, pair or free agent. All swings welcome.
