Another exciting weekend of the Nextgengolf City Tour took place on Sunday, August 9th, and a few more tickets were punched for the National Championship at Cog Hill in September. Chicago - Bolingbrook GC
With a solid field, the teams of Handled Change and Bushwood Country Club (nice Caddyshack reference!) were prepared to duke it out for the automatic berth into the National Championship taking place in their backyard. They would have to fend off newcomers from Lafferty Daniel, Roy McAvoy (Tin Cup shout out), and Gsscc. Handled Change tied for 1st place with Lafferty Daniel each posting -3 (141). The teams were led by Jason Nemeth (E - 72) and Kevin Mceneany (+2 - 74).
St. Louis - Stonewolf GC
A great third and final event for everyone in The Lou. The new team of Stroke And Tug took the victory posting +1 (145) over strong showings from team Quincy, Robert Allenbys Caddies, and Shank And Bank. It was a great event by all accounts.
Atlanta - Bridgemill Athletic Club
Once again everyone should be very, very afraid of the Dubspread team who sealed their birth into the National Championship with another convincing victory shooting -4 (140) over team Dorner (-1 - 143) and PGCC (E - 144). No course records this time but the duo of Tyler Hogan & Will Snipes shot a tournament best -6 (66) edging out Kyle Rice & Jeremy Mcdonald at -5 (67). Which shows you the power of Best Ball as none of those players broke par on their own. Congrats again to Dubspread!
Los Angeles - Brookside GC
A solid field turned out in Pasadena for L.A.’s final tournament. The new team of The Playas ran away with the victory shooting -4 (139) with Pace of LA, The Journey to Beerer, and We Golo bringing up the rear. Leading the way for pairs scoring were Michael Finney & Willy Moffly posting a -5 (67) with teammates Joseph Sarni & Nate Han unable to keep pace with +1 (72).
