What do Long John, Corey Pavin, and Rickie Fowler all have in common? Ryder Cups, sure, winning on TOUR, check; the true equalizer, ladies and gentlemen, lies in their ability to rock what we refer to as a #GolfStache. Golf is the ideal sport to harness the power of Movember and the NCCGA will be leading the charge this fall!
Nextgengolf will donate $1 for every #GolfStache tweet or instagram picture in the next month to the Testicular Cancer Foundation. Testicular cancer is the most prevalent cancer for 15-35 year old men. We are happy to report that a member of the NCCGA family is a survivor of testicular cancer.
At our National Championship at Dancing Rabbit on November 15th we hope to see an array of legendary GolfStaches at our first annual shaving party where we will present a check to the Testicular Cancer Foundation. Women golfers can join the fun by taking a picture with a fake #GolfStache or drawing a #GolfStache on your ball!
Given the success we've been having with our #ClubGolf Campaign, why not fuel the fire with a #GolfStache? For those who don't already know, we've been rating each #ClubGolf tweet or instagram post from 1-5 and adding up the total number of points each team earns per month to decide the monthly winners. Iowa State won in September and their club president earned a Cleveland Wedge in addition to eight #PLAYER NCCGA Cleveland Golf and Srixon shirts.
We'll be awarding two more #ClubGolf team winners in October and November but in order to be eligible to win, your team must tweet out a minimum of two #GolfStache #ClubGolf pictures on instagram or twitter. Lastly, the grand prize of free team dues for the spring 2015 season will be decided between the monthly winners in September, October, and November with the best three combined #GolfStache #ClubGolf pictures.
Happy growing!
